1. DO WE HAVE TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
Yes, a deposit of 50% of the total rental price is required when you sign your contract.We also require a credit card number as a damage deposit with the signed contract.Charges will be assessed only for damages or excessive cleaning requirements when applicable. The balance of the event is due a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of your event.
2. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Cancellation notice of 365 days in advance of scheduled event is required to receive a 90% refund of the rental deposit. Cancellation notice of 180 days in advance of scheduled event is required to receive a 75% refund of the rental deposit. Cancellation notice of 90 days in advance of scheduled event is required to receive a refund of 50% of the rental deposit. If 90 day notice is not received KSHOF will keep the full amount of lessee’s rental deposit.
3. WHAT TYPE OF TABLE AND CHAIRS DO YOU HAVE AND HOW MANY DO YOU HAVE?
212 white plastic folding chairs
75 green plastic chairs (these chairs are primarily used for outside seating)
25– 60” white plastic round tables (seat 8)
10 - 48” white plastic round tables (seat 6) (these tables are primarily used for ourside seating)
9 – 8’ white plastic rectangular tables
4. HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE ROOM HOLD?
** The veranda area is covered and does provide some options for additional outdoor seating.
5. DO YOU HAVE AN OPEN CATERING POLICY?
Yes renters are free to use any caterer they want.
6. WHAT IS YOUR ALCOHOL POLICY?
Renters are required to contract with KSHOF bar service provider, Xclusive Bartending, which will bill the renter directly.Bar/Alcohol pricing will be provided by Xclusive Bartending.
7. CAN I HAVE A WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE BOATHOUSE?
Yes the Hall of Fame does allow wedding ceremonies to take place here. Renters are allowed to have ceremonies in our banquet room or on the veranda attached to the second floor. There is an additional $250 fee for ceremonies to be held at the Boathouse but this fee can be avoided if you chose to move your own chairs or rent additional chairs for your ceremony. Please contact the Events Manager for more information.
8. WHEN CAN I DECORATE FOR MY EVENT?
The Hall of Fame staff will work with renters on a case-by-case basis as to when set-up for their event can occur. However, those hours you allot for decorating must be included in the total amount of rental time you purchase, unless you are renting the facility on a Friday or Saturday. Included in Friday or Saturday rentals is three hours of decorating time from 8am to 11am.
9. WHEN CAN MY VENDORS COME IN FOR MY EVENT?
We ask that your vendors (ie – cake vendors, caterers, florist, DJ, etc) come in during the time you have allotted for decorating.The Hall of Fame will provide one hour before your event start time for vendors to come set up; if vendors need additional time than that time needs to be included in your total rental time and you have to pay for those hours.
10. WHEN DOES MY EVENT NEED TO BE OVER?
We ask that your event runs no later than 11 pm and that all clean-up be done by midnight. Clean-up for renters means taking everything out that you brought in and making sure all trash is in trash containers.
11. WHERE IS PARKING LOCATED AT THE BOATHOUSE?
The Boathouse has a front parking lot with 11 stalls, including one handicapped spot. Your other guests have access to public parking garages to the south and east of the Boathouse as well as a public parking lot straight to the northeast of the Boathouse.
12. DO YOU PROVIDE LINENS?
Linens are not included in some rental price but can be added to any rental for an additional charge.
13. IS THE BUILDING HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

15. DO MY GUESTS HAVE ACCESS TO THE FIRST FLOOR EXHIBITS?
16. IS SMOKING ALLOWED?
Smoking is not allowed in the building or 10 feet from the doors.
